Once upon a time there was a girl, who from a very young age, loved to draw. Holly was her name, and she remembers receiving a gift, a set of pencils and a drawing pad. She will always think of that gift as the start of her artistic career. As a ten-year old, she like to drawn things like house plans. Maybe a little odd for a ten-year old, but artist don’t always fit the mold.
So in 1987, Holly graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Studio Art & Graphic Design and moved to California. She worked for a couple of design firms specializing in the High Tech industry before going out on her own. Now, a few of Holly’s favorite things to create are logos, custom invitations, commissioned pet portraits in watercolor or acrylics and re-purposed painted furniture.
Holly now lives in beautiful Southern Oregon with her husband and three children in a home she designed herself. I guess that ‘odd’ hobby paid off.
P.S. thanks to Tim Tidball Photography for the great head shot.
